Stenciled Accent Walls

I have been LOVING using Cutting Edge Stencils lately. They are beautiful and so easy to use. I’ve done several projects in collaboration with them over the last few months and I plan on doing more in the future because I cannot get enough of their awesome products! The thing I love the most about Cutting Edge Stencils as opposed to other stencils is most of their wall stencils come with an additional top edge stencil to use up against the ceiling which saves me SO much time and hassle. I also love that the stencil pattern comes with guides on the corners that helps you line it up with the next stencil so that your stencil design is straight. They’re also very heavy duty and don’t get bent easily. If you want a more step by step tutorial on how to stencil a wall, check out my post here. Today, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the fun projects I’ve been doing with these amazing stencils lately. Want to see? Let’s start with my favorite…The guest room accent wall. green I used Cutting Edge Stencil’s Magnolia and Berries Wall Stencil for this project. I first rolled the whole thing with a grayish green color that I made by mixing a bunch of colors together. Then, I came back in with some dark green and black and a small art brush and added depth to the design. img_8429img_8434This stencil took me a long time because of all the fine detail, but it was so worth it!img_8433 So this one isn’t a wall, but it’s definitely on my list of favorite stencil projects because of the HUGE impact it made on this space so I had to throw it in here. I used Cutting Edge Stencil’s Santa Ana Tile Stencil for the floors in our guest bathroom. We had some pretty ugly linoleum flooring in there that I was able to totally transform using this beautiful stencil. Can you even believe that’s the same floor?stencil floorWe’ve had these floors stenciled for about 5 months now and they are holding up great! As you can see from the picture above which I took today, there are no issues with them whatsoever. No yellowing, no peeling, no scratches, and they clean like a dream! We love them!

Another fun project was when my sister let me help her make an accent stencil wall for my niece’s room makeover. We used Cutting Edge Stencil’s Jacobean Allover Wall Stencil for this project. lydiaroomNow, this particular stencil project was a little more challenging since we used several different colors, but that extra effort majorly paid off! img_3075img_3072I have to say, my sister and niece did most of the work on this project, I just helped get them started. I just love how it turned out. So whimsical and sweet! img_3071

My second favorite stencil project of all time has got to be my accent wall in my master bathroom that I recently did. I swoon every time I go in that room! And bonus, it was definitely the easiest one I’ve done so far. I used Cutting Edge Stencil’s Hand Drawn Chevron Wall Stencil for this project which I would HIGHLY recommend if you are new to stenciling and want to give it a shot. This stencil is so easy to use and adds such a modern, fun flare to any room.img_3092img_0285img_0308img_0305

The next project I’m hoping to tackle is our living room fireplace. It’s currently tile and I want to give it a facelift, so stay tuned for that soon! Have you ever stenciled anything? I’d love to hear about your favorite stencil projects you’ve done. And remember, you can shop all of Cutting Edge Stencil’s products here. Happy stenciling, friends!
