DIY Gift Idea: Ornament Dip Mix with FREE Printable

So I always love making something homemade, simple, and cute to add to friend’s and family’s gifts at Christmas time. I feel like it’s so personal and thoughtful to do something homemade and from your heart that you didn’t just buy from a store. I do something different every year and it’s always so fun for me to try new things. This year, I knew it needed to be something that wasn’t super time-consuming since our week is a bit busy. It also had to be something I could make way in advance since we will be traveling this year several days before Christmas, so it couldn’t be baked goods because they probably wouldn’t be good that old. So, I decided on a dip mix. It’s a gift I know I personally LOVE to get because I can take it to any party or church event and it’s something I can whip up in minutes and is always a crowd pleaser, so I thought my family and friends would also enjoy this! PIC_6860 The recipe is so simple and took me only about 5 minutes to put together and get into the ornaments. The most time-consuming part was tying the ribbon… Fiesta Dip (put this in the ornament): 2 tsp. dried parsley 2 tsp. dried minced onion 1 tsp. dried chives 2 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. white pepper (if you can’t find white, just use black) When you’re ready to make the dip: In a medium bowl combine all ingredients and whisk together. refrigerate 2-4 hours before serving. The above recipe is for one ornament so for me, I needed to fill 8 ornaments so I multiplied the recipe times 8, mixed it in a large bowl and then just distributed it evenly into each ornament using a mini funnel. Then, I printed out these fiesta dip ornament tags, cut them out, punched a hole in them, and attached them to the ornaments (I picked up these plastic ornaments for $.99 at Hobby Lobby) using some ribbon. All done! Ready to wrap or just hang right on the tree! PIC_6874 I hope you enjoy making these for your loved ones! As always, let me know if you try it and what you think! Merry Christmas, friends! XOXO, Anna
